Welcome to the web page of The Leadership Institute
for Women of Color Attorneys in Law and Business,
Inc. We are very excited about our upcoming program
scheduled for March 12th – 14th, 2008 in Atlanta,
GA at The Ritz-Carlton (downtown).
It is our mission to educate, mentor, inspire and
network with women of color attorneys and businesswomen
as well as create a forum to teach mentoring and networking
skills that are critical to our success in the business
world. This will be achieved during our upcoming events
featuring the most prominent women of color attorneys
and businesswomen in the United States. It is indeed
a privilege for us to present these outstanding, knowledgeable
women of color pioneers who will share with you their
strategies for success at our next conference.
We also will continue to fuel the pipeline by providing
seminars headed by experts for our up and coming law
students on such topics as: (1) how to succeed in
law school; (2) how to make wise career choices; and
(3) financing your law school education. We will continue
our Leadership Institute/ McGuireWoods scholarship
competition to assist students with the financial
challenges of law school.
The Leadership Institute is stretching the mission
of its predecessor organization, The Leadership Academy
for Women of Color Attorneys to the next level: creating
opportunities for attorneys during our next conference
to (1)sign up for invaluable, one-on-one, on-site
mentoring sessions by more experienced junior and
senior law partners; and (2)hear from women leaders
whose charitable pursuits have created amazing skill
building opportunities in the private sector and exposed
them to other business opportunities. It is not enough
that our attendees gain knowledge that will help them
reach their goals in their professions; but it is
imperative that our attendees reach out, reach back
and give of themselves to those who consider us their
role models.

learning experience at our next conference in 2008.
